In Maine, the Board of Appraiser handles appraisal licensing. Maine is one of the few states with such low minimum time requirement to obtain the necessary experience hours for licensing. Training Requirements: 2,500 hours of experience in no fewer than 24 months
Education Requirements: Hold a Bachelor’s degree and 200 hours of qualifying education courses

Maine Certified General Real Estate Appraiser

Training Requirements: 3,000 hours of experience in no fewer than 30 months,1500 hours of which must be non-residential.
